There are 3 types of ADHD

  • Predominantly Hyperactive/Impulsive type – This is a typical diagnosis for pre-schoolers because there are few demands for sustained attention

  • Combined Type – Excessive problems with attention, memory, planning, time management and organization as wr ell as impulsive and/or hyperactive behavior in multiple contexts

  • Predominantly Inattentive Type – Problems exclusively with attention, memory, planning, organization, time management with little if any impulsivity/hyperactivity

My evaluation:

I initially send an assessment link to you and a teacher. (For an adult, the link is sent to the adult and a significant

other). The assessment is scored and returned to me. It provides data about very specific difficulties child/adult has

which is compared to norms for ADHD and non-ADHD individuals.

When the assessments, are returned, I’ll call you to schedule you to come in with your child (or an adult alone). In

that consultation, I’ll get a detailed history of your personal, academic, and occupational functioning. At the end of

the consultation, I’ll provide a diagnosis (or not) and tell you if you might have something in addition to, or instead or

ADHD. I’ll recommend an additional evaluation if necessary. I’ll also recommend interventions which may be

educational or medical. I’ll write a report that I’ll email to you within 48 hours.

The fee for the evaluation is $450
